We strive to make every experience as comfortable as possible, for children and their parents. We aim to do this by creating a fun and approachable environment. At ABC Dental Only for Kids, we are committed to providing the highest quality dental care for children and to help them establish an effective preventive routine for a lifetime of healthy smiles. 

Dr. Albert (Yang Heon) Kang

DDS, MSc, FRCD(C) - Certified Pediatric Dentistry Specialist

Dr. Albert Kang graduated from McMaster University in 2008 with his Bachelor of Health Sciences degree. He completed his dental education from the University of Toronto. He practiced as a family dentist for 2 years in Barrie and discovered his joy and passion of caring for children. Dr. Albert then completed a Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto. He was trained at multiple hospitals including SickKids, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. 

Dr. Albert is a member of numerous professional organizations including Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and Ontario Dental Association. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

In his spare time, Dr. Albert enjoys cycling, cooking, and building Lego. 

Dr. Brian Kim

DDS, MSc, Dip ADBA - Certified Dental Anaesthesia Specialist

Dr. Brian Kim completed his Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at McMaster University. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto. He obtained his Master of Science degree in Dental Anaesthesia at the University of Toronto in his post-graduate training. He was trained at multiple hospitals including SickKids, Sunnybrook hospital, and Toronto East General Hospital. He is recognized as a certified Dental Anaesthesiology specialist from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. 

He teaches undergraduate dental students and residents at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. He is currently a member of Canadian Academy of Dental Anaesthesia, American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologist, and Ontario Dental Association.

Dr. Brian likes to spend his free time with family and friends. He also enjoys fishing, skiing, travelling, and watching movies.

What Set Us Apart

Dr. Albert is a pediatric dentist and Dr. Brian is a dental anaesthesiologist. They both have three years of extra training in their own specialties in addition to the four years of general dental education. Pediatric dentists are experts in behavioural management, as well as in diagnosis and treatment of both primary and permanent teeth during different developmental stages. Dental anaesthesiologists are specifically trained for providing an individualized and safe sedation. Collaboratively, Dr. Albert and Dr. Brian will aim to improve children’s and parents’ experiences at our clinic.

Our entire clinic is designed specifically for children. The children’s area has interactive games, keeping them busy and having fun while waiting. Colourful interiors welcomes them to an environment made just for kids. Our equipment and tools fit specific to the pediatric population, and is more comfortable for kids. Finally, our team always works to speak with your child at their level to build a trusting friendship for years to come.
